Kim works for WDSU  In 2012, she first moved to New Orleans to work as a morning anchor. Additionally, Kim was one of the three anchors representing Hearst Television.

In addition to that, she provided live reports for all 25 stations and filed daily stories on security and other issues during the 2014 Olympics. Moreover, Sula was selected to join NBC’s Education Nation with NBC host Hoda Kotb in 2013. She also helped moderate several panel discussions and town hall meetings with top educators and state legislators.

The program included dozens of reports by Sula regarding education issues. In Louisiana, Kim covered major stories including Hubig’s Pies fire, the aftermath of the BP Oil Spill, wall-to-wall coverage of Hurricane Isaac, and the corruption trial of former Mayor Ray Nagin. One of her in-depth reports in New Orleans helped influence Senate Bill 66, passed in the 2014 legislative session.

She required home inspectors in Louisiana to report mold to their clients. Previously, Kim spent 6 years in Norfolk, Virginia as a weekend anchor and a general assignment reporter at WVEC (ABC-TV). Additionally, she was part of the station’s Emmy Award-winning coverage of the Virginia Tech shooting in Hampton Roads.

Murrow award for breaking news. She also received a Walter Cronkite award for team Excellence in Television Political Journalism, and an Emmy Nomination for the best feature story.

In addition to that, Sula has volunteered with several organizations including the Service League and the Salvation Army in Green Bay. In New Orleans, she volunteers her time with Celebration Church and gets involved whenever she can.
