Talya Faggart is an American anchor and multi-media journalist working for Action News 5 where she serves as a morning anchor and multi-media journalist. She joined the Action News 5 news team in December 2021, after previously working at KWQC where she served as a weekend anchor and multi-media journalist. 

York County, Virginia is her native home and she attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she graduated in May 2019, with a Bachelor of Science in broadcast journalism. Faggart interned at CBS 6 in Richmond where she worked on VCU Insight which is a student-run newscast that aired on Richmond PBS as a producer and reporter.

Talya won a regional SPJ Mark of Excellence award and in the year 2018, she was a national finalist. In addition, she also interned at CNN’s Southeast News Bureau in Atlanta before she relocated to the Quad Cities and while she was at the station, she worked on national digital news and criminal court cases. Furthermore, during her leisure time, she enjoys binge-watching new series, going on adventures when the weather permits, and trying new places.
