Tawana Andrew Biography

Tawana Andrew is an American meteorologist working at WAVE 3 in Louisville, Metropolitan Area where she serves as a morning meteorologist and web producer. She joined WAVE 3 in October 2016, after previously working at WABG-TV. 

Andrew has always been passionate about the weather and dreamed of being a meteorologist since she was six years old. Prior to joining WAVE, she worked at WABG-TV in Greenville, Mississippi where she served as a morning meteorologist and later as the co-anchor of The Delta News Morning in Greenville, Mississippi. In addition, she also worked at 4FSU Weather from November 2012 to May 2014, and while she was there, she served as a meteorologist.

St. John’s, Antigua is her native home and in 2009, she joined Broward College where she graduated in 2011, with an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. While she studied at Broward College, she was also a mathematics tutor. Later on, she joined Florida State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in meteorology in 2014. Furthermore, she is also a Mississippi Association of Public Broadcasters Award winner. During her free time, she enjoys watching sci-fi movies, baking, and reading.
