Taylor Schaub Biography

Taylor Schaub is an American anchor/reporter/director working at KGET-TV 17 where he serves as a sports director a position he took up in January 2021. He joined KGET-TV 17 in November 2019, as a general assignment reporter after previously working at Daily Flash TV. 

The San Francisco Bay Area is where Taylor was born and brought up and from birth, he has been around broadcast news. His father Jeffrey worked at KPIX-TV where he served as a reporter while his mother Margaret, is a former producer for KGO-TV for over 20 years.

He attended Full Sail University where he studied sports broadcasting at its Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting in Orlando, Florida where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. While he was at the University, he learned under top industry professionals in addition to developing a feverish love for storytelling.

Later on, after he had graduated, he was able to secure a job at KGET when he was 20 years old as a reporter. In addition, while Schaub works at KGET, he has covered George Floyd protests, the coronavirus pandemic, and many major breaking news stories on the station at Sunrise. He has also highlighted a number of members of the Golden Empire. During his free time, he likes cooking, playing golf, and spending ample time with his family and friends.
