Ted Scouten Biography
Ted Scouten is a prominent American Emmy Award-winning Journalist working as a News Reporter/Anchor at WFOR. He joined WFOR in 1998. He is an animal advocate having rescued several dogs. Ted is a proud member of the NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists. One of his most meaningful pieces of work was the 2012 award-winning documentary “March of the Living: Return to Auschwitz”. Where he followed three Miami holocaust survivors back to Auschwitz for an emotional journey. Because of his work on this incredible project, he received two Emmy Awards. Also, he was honored with a 2002 Emmy for his report on pet overpopulation in South Florida. He began his television career on the Texas-Mexico border in Laredo, Texas in 1986, followed by gigs in the Rio Grande Valley, Austin, and Orlando. When he is not reporting, he loves working in his yard.
