Tim Pulliam is an American Award-winning Anchor/Reporter working for ABC7 where he serves as a reporter for ABC7 Eyewitness News. He has been working for the station since joining in July 2022.

Pulliam went to Winston-Salem State University where he graduated. In addition to this Winston-Salem State University honored him among the top 40 alumni under the age of 40. He went to Johns Hopkins University where he attained his master’s degree. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends.

Pulliam serves as a reporter at ABC7 Eyewitness News. He has been working as a journalist for more than 15 years and has enclosed stories and events concerning tropical storms, breaking news, race, crime, and politics. Pulliam previously worked at ABC 11 where he served as an anchor and reporter. In addition to that, he was nominated for an Emmy Award due to his reporting at WTVD on The Shooting Death of Andrew Brown, Jr.

Pulliam has also managed to win several awards ever since he started his journalism career. For instance, he was awarded three Salute to Excellence in Journalism trophies. These awards were presented to him by the National Association of Black Journalists (2020, 2016, 2011). He was tagged ‘Report of the Year by the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas and the Associated Press.

He started his journalism career in 2006 in Wilmington, N.C., and later on started working in Columbia, S.C. where he served as an anchor and reporter. During his tenure at Columbia, he was awarded a local Media Champion Award by the Richland One Community Coalition. This award was presented to him for his coverage of the impact that synthetic drugs have on young people.

Pulliam also spent some time as president of the South Carolina Association of Black Journalists. Due to his journalism career, he has managed to travel to several countries and states including Florida, and enclosed several crime stories. Furthermore, he has also enclosed quite a number of high-profile cases including the verdict in the George Zimmerman trial. He also did an exclusive report on the Michael Dunn murder trial in 2015 and was featured in an award-winning HBO documentary titled “3 1/2 Minutes: Ten Bullets.”
