Tom O’Hare Biography

Tom O’Hare is an American Meteorologist working with Doppler 9 & 10 News where he serves the station as a Chief Meteorologist since May 2004. There, he forecasts the evening weather news at 5 and 11 PM.

O’Hare works with Doppler 9 & 10 News where he serves the station as an Evening Meteorologist for the 5 and 11 PM News. Prior to joining the 9 & 10 News, he was working as a Morning and Noon Meteorologist in Binghamton, New York. Asides from this, he has also worked in 2 other New York cities. He has also worked as a Chief Meteorologist in Watertown and worked in Rochester as a fill-in Meteorologist and Weather Producer.

Tom is a proud graduate of the State University of New York at Brockport where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology. He is a proud member of the American Meteorological Society and holds the Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Designation or CBM. The CBM recognizes holders have the educational background and have been tested in their knowledge and communication of the sciences needed to be effective broadcast meteorologists.

Over the years, he has also won several awards from the Michigan Associated Press and the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. He also works as a Meteorologist for WTCM. O’Hare states that he just loves the weather and loves to get outside and enjoy it. Asides from this, he also says that he was raised watching the meteorologists on TV, making his own forecast, and reading the forecast in the newspaper.

Asides from this, he also says he would always know what the forecast was and could figure out what he wanted to do after school. Away from work, he enjoys being outside and being busy. Asides from that, he loves running, playing volleyball, biking, running, working in the house or garden, and just doing anything else that would take him outside.
