Tom Sredenschek is an American Sports Director working for FOX 29 since joining the station in February 1986. Sredenschek was an original member of FOX 29 when the “Ten O’clock News” first launched.

Sredenschek was born in Havertown, grew up in Media, Pa., and graduated from Penncrest High School. Went to Pennsylvania State University and graduated with honors with a degree in Telecommunications.

He has covered many major sporting events, including memorable seasons for Philadelphia sports fans: the Eagles’ 2005 Super Bowl and 2018 Super Bowl victory, the 1997 and 2010 Flyers Stanley Cup Finals, 1993, 2008 and 2009 Phillies World Series runs, the 2001 Sixers NBA Finals, March Madness tournament runs from Philly’s Big Five teams and heavyweight boxing title fights. Sredenschek is as well the producer of FOX 29 “Game Day Live” Eagles pre-game show.
He has received various honors for his work, including a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award and Top Pennsylvania Sportscast by the Associated Press. FOX 29 honored him also for his hard work covering the 2008 World Series Champion Philadelphia Phillies. He has broadcast Penn State football games from Beaver Stadium and sports director at Penn State’s campus radio station, WPSU, for three years.
Upon graduation, he joined WILM news radio in Wilmington, DE, where he was a reporter and news anchor until joining the FOX 29 News team. Sredenschek was inducted into the Rose Tree Media Honor Roll, their “Hall of Fame,” in 2011. He volunteers with the American Heart Association and was a spokesperson for its 14th Annual Richie Ashburn Home Runs For Heart campaign.
