Tracy Wirtz is an American manager and anchor working for Cox Communications where she serves as a public and media relations manager. She joined Cox Communications in August 2021, after previously working at KLFY News where she serves as a 5 pm and 6 pm anchor.
In 1988, Wirtz joined the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she graduated in 1992, with a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications and English. While working at Cox Communications, she focuses on employee engagement, media relations, community relations, and charitable giving opportunities.
For over 30 years, she has worked in broadcast media, and not long ago, she worked for KLFY News 10 in Lafayette where she served as an anchor. In addition, she developed a series that highlights Louisiana National Guard soldiers in four countries in the Middle East, and it highlights women in Acadiana who made an impact on their communities. Over the years, Tracy has worked on the May board in Acadiana and assisted public information officers with media relations.
