Troy Lynch Biography
Troy Lynch is an American Anchor/Reporter working for WMUR News in Manchester/Boston serving the station as an Anchor/Reporter since July 2022. Prior to this, he was working for FOX 16 News where he served the station as a Sports Anchor/Reporter between March 2020 and June 202. He joined the station as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter.
Troy Lynch Career
Lynch works for WMUR News serving the station as an Anchor/Reporter. He grew up along the sunny beaches of southern California. There he was playing volleyball and spending as much time at the beach as possible. He attended the Walter Cronkite School at Arizona State where he earned a degree in sports journalism.
He was named a top 12 collegiate sportscaster in the country his last two years at ASU according to the STAA and won a national BEA award for his story “Turning Tragedy to Triumph.” In his time in college, he covered MLB Spring Training, NFL, the NHL, NBA, Arizona State Sports, and Waste Management Open. He has also worked as the in-game host for Arizona State men’s and women’s basketball and baseball for two seasons.
Five days after graduating from college, he kick-started his career working at KREX 5 News in Grand Junction, Colorado as the sports director. He has been there for almost two years covering the Denver Broncos, minor league baseball, Winter X-Games, high school sports, and Colorado Mesa University.
A fun fact about him was that he went viral on the internet when he was going live for a minor league All-Star game when kids swarmed him during a live shot. The video got millions of views and was interviewed on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
While he was in Colorado, he would make the drive to Colorado Springs where he was the in-game host for Air Force football in the year 2019. The Falcons ended the season as the No. 22 team in the country in Troy’s only year. Away from work, he enjoys working out, adventure, watching movies, eating, telling jokes, and playing the piano.
