Wess Moore is an American Director/Host working with FOX 16 News in Little Rock where he serves the station as a Sports Director/Co-host of “The Zone” 10-1 every weekday on 103.7. He joined the FOX 16 Sports Director in the month of February 2013.

Moore works with FOX 16 News where he serves the station as a Sports Director in the month of February 2013. He has been covering sports in Arkansas for more than 20 years. Moore was raised in Texas and is a proud graduate of Texas State University. He kick-started his career working as a news reporter in Ada, Oklahoma in the year 1994. Later on, he returned to his East Texas roots as a reporter in the Marshall Bureau for the Shreveport TV station.

While he was working there, he was promoted to the role of weekend news anchor and morning news anchor. Moore met his wife Alyson at that station in Shreveport. The duo got into marriage a few years later and kick-started his career working in Victoria, Texas. He was the main news anchor for about three years in Victoria. It is at this moment that he discovered sports was his passion. They later moved to Little Rock in the year 2003.

Asides from his duties as FOX16 Sports Director, he co-hosts “The Zone” on 103.7 The Buzz. The sports talk show airs Monday through Friday from 10-1. He loves talking about sports. His favorite sports change with each season and was raised playing baseball, golf, football, and basketball. Golf is his passion these days thanks to bad ankles.

In his career, he has won numerous awards for news and sports reporting over the years. He was also nominated for a Regional Emmy for a story on the near-death experience of current Razorback Jeremy Ward. Moore is a two-time winner of the sports reporter of the Year as voted on by the readers of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. He was also named the National Sports Media Association Arkansas Broadcaster of the Year in 2016.

Moore covered PGA Tour events, NFL, NBA games, MLB, NCAA Tournament games, the Super Bowl, bowl games, and the College World Series in Omaha. Wess states that he can’t wait to cover his first BCS National Championship Game. He and his wife are happy to call the Natural State home.
