Wendy Corona Biography
Wendy Corona is an American journalist working for WSB as an anchor of Channel 2 Action News at 4 and 11 p.m. Monday through Friday. She also works as a reporter throughout the metro. She joined the station in January 2013 and has served the station for more than a decade. Previously, she worked in Dallas, Texas at WFAA as a news reporter.

She worked as a morning anchor at Local 10, the ABC affiliate in Miami. Her broadcast career started when she worked as a reporter in Yuma, Arizona, followed by El Paso, Texas, and Orlando, Florida.
During her career, she has witnessed numerous notable news occasions including the O.J. Simpson murder trial when she was still in college. She was in Florida during the 2000 presidential election and traced Florida links to the 9/11 terrorist assaults. While in Florida, she witnessed several hurricanes as they made landfall in South Florida. She holds most pride in her early reporting work which helped reunite an African refugee with her long-lost family members in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Wendy particularly supports women’s health, education, literacy projects, and domestic violence. Alongside Robin Roberts in Miami, she made an appearance on Good Morning to support Women’s Heart Health schemes. Also, she has worked as a host of many special event broadcasts including sporting and philanthropic gala occasions. She serves on the board of Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School.
