Xavier Hershovitz is an American Host, Anchor, and Reporter working for WHIO-TV as an anchor and investigative consumer reporter since joining the station in November 2022. Prior to this, he worked for Doppler 9 & 10 News as a co-host of the station’s hour-long afternoon lifestyle show, “The Four.”

Hershovitz works as an anchor and investigative consumer reporter for WHIO-TV. Since he was a child, he has always had a desire for journalism. He explains that when he was a kid, he would “report Live” from his front yard using a turkey baster as his microphone.
Hershovitz has always wanted to be a reporter for as long as he recalls, and he looks forward be living his dream here in the Miami Valley! He feels privileged to share people’s stories every day. In this capacity, he works hard to get the facts right and the humanity behind each story. He hopes that those he interviews feel like he’s not just there for a soundbite, but because he cares about the community.
Previously, Hershovitz worked with 9 & 10 News as a co-host of the afternoon lifestyle show, “The Four.” He joined the station, working as a reporter for the Petoskey bureau. While he was in Petoskey, he covered stories such as the latest in the ongoing Line 5 saga, the start and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and countless breaking news stories from the Tip of the Mitt to the far reaches of the Eastern Upper Peninsula.
Hershovitz counts it a privilege to have been awarded the 2020 Michigan Association of Broadcasters Award for Best Breaking News Story for his coverage of the Sugar Island Ferry crew saving a girl that fell through the ice into the St. Mary’s River.
Since November 2020, Hershovitz came to Cadillac to become the reporter for “the four” and focus on all the good Northern Michigan has to offer. Later on, in December 2020, he became a co-host of”the four.” Additionally, he also loves to be able to introduce Northern Michigan to incredible people, exciting places, and awesome events each day.
