Shaun Boyd is an American Reporter working for CBS4 News/KCNC-TV in Denver, Colorado where she serves the station as a Political Reporter. She has been working with the station since the year 1998.

Boyd works with CBS4 News where she serves the station as a Political and General Assignment Reporter. She happens to be among the most experienced television news reporters in Colorado. Since joining CBS4 News, she has worked as a general assignment reporter, political specialist, and bureau chief. In the process, she has interviewed everyone from Nobel prize-winning scientists to the President of the United States.
Asides from this she has earned the respect and trust of law enforcement and government sources through the state. Besides this, she was one of the first reporters on the scene of the Columbine shooting and has been on the front lines of some of Colorado’s biggest wildfires, breaking stories on the University of Colorado football scandal and VA Hospital construction debacle. She happens to be the only reporter to be invited by former Boulder Police Chief Mark Beckner into the evidence room for the JonBenet Ramsey’s murder investigation.
Being a veteran political reporter, she has covered six national political conventions and provided instant analysis of keynote addresses in live reports. She is also one of the early reporters nationally to begin fact-checking political ads in her Reality Check segments. Asides from this, she has also reported from the State Capitol since the year 2011. This was while covering battles over civil unions for gay couples, gun control, the repeal of the death penalty, and marijuana regulation.
Through her reporting, she has been recognized by the American Legion of Colorado, Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault, The Emergency Services Public Information Officers, Mothers Against Drunk Driving Colorado, and National Association for the Mentally Ill. When coming to her education, she is a proud Michigan native is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where she graduated cum laude. Previously, she has worked with stations such as WNDU-TV in South Bend, Indiana, KGAN-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
