Adam Rutt is an American Meteorologist working with KELLOLAND-TV where he serves the station as a weather anchor/reporter. He joined the KELLOLAND Live Doppler HD team in the month of March 2020.

Rutt works with KELLOLAND-TV where he serves the station as a Meteorologist. His fascination and earliest memories of weather revolved around one common theme, WInter. Among his most notable weather memories was the Blizzard of the year 1996 which put well over two and a half feet of snow on the ground and closed for a full week. After getting the chance to shadow a local meteorologist during high school, he knew what he wanted his future career to be.
Having a few in-state options, he went north for his college education and graduated from Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, Vermont where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology and a concentration in TV Broadcasting in 2010.
He kick-started his career working in Atlantic City, New Jersey where he was working with WMGM in the year 2011. While on Jersey Shore, he was forecasting for and covered Tropical Irene and Hurricane Sandy in back-to-back years. After the closure of WMGM, he traveled west, slightly, to Maryland.
Additionally, he joined the team at WDVM-TV in Hagerstown, Maryland in the year 2015. There, he spent about five years of his career forecasting for the 4 State region. Away from work, he can be found on any one of the many walking trails in Sioux, Falls with his wife and son. Additionally, he also enjoys listening to the RUSH and Relient K bands.
