Aubrey Urbanowicz Biography

Aubrey Urbanowicz is an American meteorologist working at WHSV where she serves as the chief meteorologist and broadcasts weather during the 6 pm, 10 pm, and 11 pm newscasts. She joined the WHSV team in October 2010, as a meteorologist. 

Aubrey Urbanowicz Career

Urbanowicz works for WHSV News serving the station as a Chief Meteorologist. She holds the National Weather Association’s seal of approval. She was a bartender before she decided to take up a career in meteorology and she discover her passion for the weather while she traveled for a restaurant chain as a corporate trainer. In addition, she relocated to the Shenandoah Valley where she developed an interest in weather history, including the history of historical storms in the local area. In May 2009, she interned at WJHL where she was a weather intern till September 2009.

Urbanowicz attended East Tennessee State University for her general studies. Later in 2007, she joined Mississippi State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Geosciences, with a concentration in Broadcast Meteorology in 2009. In addition, during her leisure time, she enjoys walking her rescue dog Bear who was adopted locally through Augusta Dog Adoptions, hiking, reading, gardening and enjoying everything this area has to offer.
