Peri Sheinin Biography

Peri Sheinin is an American sports anchor, news reporter, and host working at WHSV where she serves as a weekend sports anchor, weekday news reporter, and host of On The Rise. Sheinin joined the WHSV news team in May 2021.

Sheinin works for WHSV serving the station as a Weekend Sports Anchor and Reporter. In 2013, she joined East Greenwich High School where she proudly graduated in 2017. Later on, she joined Brown University where she graduated in 2021, with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

After she had graduated from Brown University, she joined WHSV in June. In addition, while she studied at Brown University, she also played on the Women’s Tennis Team. Sheinin has also worked for The Brown Daily Herald where she covered sports and worked on the Executive Board of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Furthermore, while she worked at The Brown Daily Herald, she also completed 10 internships in sports media, including Mandalay Sports Media, and not long ago at HBO. Prior to relocating to Harrisonburg, she spent a semester in Providence, Rhode Island where she worked at WPRI Channel 12. In addition, while she was at WPRI, she was privileged to cover Tom Brady’s last season with the Patriots.
