Silkman serves as the anchor of the 5, 8, 9, and 11 O’clock News on weekdays on FOX 12 Oregon. She went to Keene State College in New Hampshire where she attained her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Broadcast Journalism in 2011.

Silkman previously worked for KRDO News Channel 13 where she served as the weekend anchor and morning reporter from November 2013 to February 2017. Prior to that, she worked for KJCT News 8 where she served as a weekend anchor, producer, and reporter from October 2012 to October 2013.

Before that, she worked for Tavern Hospitality Group where she served as a Tavern Downtown from June 2011 to October 2012. From June 2010 to June 2012, she worked at Frances Photography where he served as a marketing and communications coordinator in Denver, Colorado. She began her career at Keene State College where she edited and wrote newscasts from 2009 to 2011.

Since she started her career, she has managed to enclose several stories and extreme weather conditions including homeless issues, and major flooding, and develop her investigative reporting skills.
