Carmen Chau is an American anchor and reporter working at Fox 61. She serves as the Saturday night anchor at 10 & 11 p.m. She joined the FOX 61 news team in April of 2017 as a nightside reporter.

She is a proud graduate of East Hartford High School and proud to call herself an 860 native. She attained an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Communications at Eastern Connecticut State University. In addition, she was involved with the campus’s TV news station while at Eastern known as News 22. She reported, did behind-the-scenes work, and also anchored while she was at News 22.
Carmen later attended Quinnipiac University where she received her Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. She viewed her professors as her mentors as they were talented and inspired her. While in her last year of graduate school, she did a wide multi-media piece on the controversies surrounding autism and had the privilege to interview two of her friends who had the disability. In addition, she understood the challenges they regularly went through and also attended a number of Autism 5 Walks and runs across Connecticut in raising money for different organizations.
Her first television job was at WHAG-TV which is located in Hagerstown, Maryland where she served as a multimedia journalist, a weekend morning producer, anchor, and reporter. In 2015 she relocated to News 10 in Albany, New York covering breaking news stories on the 10 and 11 pm newscast. She is delighted to cover stories that matter to her friends. During her leisure time, she loves doing yoga, spending time with her mom, catching up on the latest shows on Netflix, and going runs outside.
