Catherine Herridge Biography
Catherine Herridge is a Canadian correspondent and reporter working for CBS News. She joined the station in November 2019 as a senior investigative correspondent.

After graduating from Jarvis Collegiate Institute (high school) and earning her Diploma in General education, she had to further her education. She joined Harvard College where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Herridge also attended the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and after completing his studies there, she earned her Master’s degree in Journalism.

Herridge serves CBS News as an investigative correspondent covering national security and intelligence. During her tenure at CBS News, she has reported on some of the most impactful national and international security stories of our time including the House impeachment proceedings, special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia report, the military trials for the alleged suspects at Guantanamo Bay, and the 9/11 terrorist attacks from New York City. In addition to that, she interviewed President Trump after the Mueller report was released in May 2019.
Her career took her to different places in the world, she has reported from Northern Ireland, Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Russia the former Yugoslavia. Prior to joining the CBS News team, she worked for FOX News Channel. During her working time there, she served as the chief intelligence correspondent. She covered the Justice Department, the Department of Homeland Security, and the intelligence community. Herridge was the first cable TV correspondent assigned to the DHS beat.
Prior to that, she worked for ABC News in London as a TV and radio correspondent. She sits on the alumni board of Harvard College and the Columbia School of Journalism. Herridge also established a national security reporting scholarship. The Congressional Medal of Honor Society awarded her in 2019 for excellence in journalism with their annual Tex McCracy Award.
