Dalfred Jones is an American anchor working for KLFY where he serves as a weekday evening anchor at 5 pm, 6 pm, and 10 pm, He joined the KLFY team in 2011 as an intern.
In 2009, he joined Grambling State University where he graduated in 2013, with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism after graduating, he was able to secure a job as a General Assignment Reporter. Later on, he served as a fill-in anchor, and in 2015, his news director noted his passion for the people of Acadiana and his willingness to find answers to their problems.
Over the years, he has covered stories that have resonated throughout the country and in 2016, he covered the officer-involved shooting of Alton Sterling. The Louisiana Associated Press Broadcasters awarded his coverage the 2nd place in Best General News Story. In addition, other stories that he has covered that have stuck out include the devastation of Hurricane Laura which destroyed the City of Lake Charles and the murder of three law enforcement officers in Baton Rouge.
He is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and the founder of FELLASyouth mentorship. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, learning new things whether it be a new culture or the latest technology, and watching his love sports; baseball, basketball, football, and golf.
