David Chancellor is an American anchor working at News4 where he serves as a weekday morning anchor on News 4 San Antonio Today. He joined the News4 team in July 1994.

David Chancellor Education

Chancellor studied at Jackson Keller Elementary and later joined Nimitz Middle School. He graduated from Lee High School before he graduated in 1994, from Trinity University with a bachelor’s degree in communications.

Chancellor works at News4 where he serves as a morning sports anchor. San Antonio is his native home and he is a product of NEISD. He has worked on television for almost 30 years and he is proud of the work he has done during this time. Over the years, together with his team, they have been honored with a number of state and local awards. Not long ago, he received two Lone Star Emmys for Best Morning Newscast and Best TV Station.

In addition, he moved from a career in sports journalism to the morning anchor desk in 2018. Chancellor spent more than twenty years as a  local sportscaster and during this time, he covered a number of Spurs’ championship runs. However, during his free time, he enjoys watching Luke’s basketball tournaments or Emery’s swim meets.
