Haley Hinds Biography
Haley Hinds is an American anchor and reporter who is currently working at FOX 13. She joined the FOX 13 news team in October 2014 and currently serves as the weekend evening co-anchor.
Haley Hinds Career
She discovered her career in television news during a field trip to KDKA-TV in her hometown while she was in the eighth grade. She later joined Waynesburg University where she graduated with a Batchelor of Arts in Communication/Electronic Media in 2008.
Despite the fact that she was brought up in southwestern Pennsylvania, she considers Florida her second home. While she resided in Fort Myers she worked atWINK News where she served as an anchor and reporter for a period of five years. Later on, she relocated to Tampa and traveled all over the state, covering stories such as witnessed the execution of Manuel Valle in Starke, the Gulf of Mexico oil spill in Pensacola, and skydived twice with the U.S. Army Golden Knights during their winter training in Homestead.
In 2013, she was honored with the Best Individual Achievement Award by the Florida Associated Press Broadcast for excellence in covering various hard news, feature stories, and breaking news. In addition, she worked at WTVH/WSTM in Syracuse, New York where she served as a multimedia journalist before flying south to Florida.
During her leisure time, she enjoys sampling every slice of pizza she comes across, exploring local waterways on a stand-up paddleboard, singing, painting, cooking, competing in marathons.
