Scott Smith is an American sports director who is working at FOX 13. In his career as a sports director, he has been privileged to cover numerous sporting events such as; the NCAA Tournament, playoffs in the four major professional sports, PGA Championship, BCS Championship Game, and the Super Bowl. In addition, he was honored to interview icons in the game such as Smokin’ Joe Frazier, Pete Rose, Tiger Woods, and Arnold Palmer.
Before he relocated to Tampa, he had so many wonderful stops in his career, and not long ago he was at FOX in Washington, DC. In addition, he worked at KPHO where he experienced “dry heat” in Phoenix. He got his first taste of live television at KOTV in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
San Jose, California is his native home and this is also where his career in journalism began. He attended Harding University in Searcy where he graduated proudly. In addition, while he was at the university he played football for the Bisons.
