Jenna Zibton Biography

Jenna Zibton is an Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working at WSLS where she serves as a weekday morning anchor from 5 am to 7 am and she leads the weekday’s Education Matters segment that airs at 5 pm. Zibton joined the WSLS team in November 2011, after previously working at Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc where she served as a morning anchor. 

Zibton has been honored with the Shining Star Award by the Junior League of Roanoke Valley for her in-depth reporting on human trafficking, dedication to the JLRV mission, and raising awareness across Virginia about the need for stronger laws. In addition, $1.7 million worth of equipment that was reported missing in the last five years and a $200,000 security oversight were found after she did a  Salem VA Medical Center. Her stories launched an OIG investigation and resulted in changes in policies at the medical center.

Furthermore, she was also part of the WSLS 10 news team that was recognized with an Associated Press award and regional Edward R. Murrow awards for outstanding news coverage. During the DePaul Community Resources Women of Achievement Awards, she was named the Young Professional of the Year. During her spare time, she enjoys training for a marathon, hiking, spending time with her family, traveling with her family, and volunteering across the community with the Blue Ridge Veterans Celebration and the Junior League of Roanoke Valley. Over the years, she has worked as a reporter and anchor in Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama. Zibton is also a graduate of Sam Houston State University.
