John Dias is an American Emmy Award-Winning Reporter working at CBS 2. She has been working for the station since joining in November 2017.
John Dias Career
Dias serves as a news reporter at CBS New York. He started his journalism career at KREX-TV in Grand Junction, Colorado where he served as a multimedia journalist. During his time here, he reported on several stories including wildfires, the Aurora Theater shooting, and politics. In addition to this, he also wrote, shot, and edited his own stories.
Prior to joining CBS 2, he worked for News 12 Networks where he served as a reporter and anchor for about five years. During his time at the station, he enclosed several breaking news as well as crime. Furthermore, he was among the first journalists to enclose the biggest gang takedown in New York City and the deadly Legionnaires outbreak in the Bronx.
Whenever he is not working, he enjoys traveling and spending some time with his friends and family. In addition to that, his favorite places to be are Telluride, Colorado, and Montauk, New York. He is also an avid runner and has managed to complete his first marathon in 2019. He went to Sachem High School where he graduated.
