Jude Redfield Biography
Jude Redfield is an American meteorologist working for WDRB as a morning meteorologist since joining the station in May 2011. Previously, he anchored the midday weather and co-anchored the 5, 5:30, and 6 p.m. weather for WTHR-TV in Indianapolis.

Redfield joined Western Kentucky University after finishing his high school education. He later graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology/Geography as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting.

Redfield works for WDRB as a morning meteorologist. He holds the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist(CBM) designation from the American Meteorological Society. Also, he has the National Weather Association Seal of Approval.
Prior to WDRB-TV, Redfield worked for WTHR-TV in Indianapolis, where he anchored the midday weather and co-anchored the 5, 5:30, and 6 p.m. weather. Before moving to Indianapolis, he worked in Cincinnati for three years. He also gained experience working as a meteorologist for WVEC-TV in Norfolk, WSIL in Harrisburg, and WKAG in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Redfield is experienced in broadcasting tornadoes and snowstorms in the Ohio Valley, and is knowledgeable about the region’s geography, as he grew up and worked in the Cincinnati area and previously worked in Indianapolis.
Though winter storms challenge him, Redfield finds them the most exciting weather to cover, as they piqued his interest in meteorology when he was in elementary school. He states that he has a love for winter weather. His weather coverage has earned him Emmy Best Weather Anchor Awards in 2006. Additionally, he won an Emmy for Best Weathercast in 2008 and the 2010 National Headliner for “Into the Vortex.”
