Kassandra Gutierrez is an American Meteorologist working with KRCR ABC 7 News where she serves the station as a Weather Anchor and MMJ/MSJ. She has been working with the station since September 2020.

Kassandra is a proud graduate of the University of California in Santa Barbara where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Medi Studies and a Minor in Ethnomusicology. While she was at UCSB, she also studied abroad in Paris, France where she spent the summer teaching creative writing and physical education in Nairobi, Kenya. Later on, after college, she made a return to her hometown and served as the 87th Orange Blossom Festival Queen.

Prior to ABC30 News, she had spent time working as a weekend weather anchor and reporter in Redding, California while at ABC7 where she covered some of the largest wildfires in California history, record-breaking heat, and severe winter storms. She kick-started her on-air career working as a reporter in Eugene, OR at the NBC/CBS affiliate after interning at a Local Fresno TV station.  She also serves as the secretary for CCNMA: Latinos Journalist of California. Gutierrez states that she is happy to be back in the Central Valley and looked forward to sharing local stories.
