Krista Miller Biography

Krista Miller is an American anchor working for WPTA as an evening anchor at 6 pm and 11 pm. She joined WPTA in March 2020, after previously working at KAKE. 

Miller was brought up in the small town of Decatur, just south of Fort Wayne. She attended Bellmont High School where she graduated with a diploma. In 2009, Krista joined Butler University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, and political science in 2013.

Additionally, while she was in college, she interned at WOWO Radio and later worked at the station as a morning news anchor alongside Charly Butcher. In the summer of 2014, she shifted to television news and joined the NBC33 team. Miller left her home four years later and relocated to Wichita, Kansas where she worked at  KAKE-TV. Whenever she finds time, she enjoys spending ample time with her husband and son.

Together the couple was blessed with a daughter on September 15, 2021, the named Millie Jacquelyn McElhatten. She weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces at birth.
