Madison Sawyer is an American journalist working for KTVT as an anchor for CBS News Texas Mornings. She joined the station in 2016 as a traffic anchor. Before working at CBS News Texas, Sawyer worked in Waco as an anchor and reporter for KWTX.

Sawyer joined Baylor University in 2011 after finishing her high school studies. In 2015, she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Entrepreneurship & Journalism. Further, she worked as a sports reporter and anchor for Baylor Athletics. While at Baylor Athletics, she was the co-anchor of regional broadcasts on Fox Sports Southwest for events like the Cotton Bowl, NFL Pro Day, Russell Athletic Bowl, and National Signing Day.
Besides broadcasting, Sawyer often volunteers her time in North Texas for organizations like the American Cancer Society, Tara Sawyer Foundation, Klyde Warren Park, the American Heart Association, Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, Fort Worth Zoo, and Dallas Zoo.

Sawyer has been a competitor in Miss Texas twice. She was the runner-up as Miss Park Cities and the second runner-up as Miss Waco. During this time, she shared her passion for health and fitness through her platform, “Play Every Day.” Play Every Day concentrated on inspiring healthy lifestyles through a partnership with the YMCA.
Sawyer won the “Young Woman of Achievement” Award. Further, she was recognized with many interview awards and a preliminary lifestyle and fitness award. She also won community service awards for her work with over 40 non-profits. She even won awards for her talent, yodeling!
As someone who has struggled with infertility, she has a passion for revealing the problems, complications, and resources available for people who share the struggle. Despite her achievements, she is more thankful to have earned to have an “others-focused” outlook on life.
