Makayla Lucero is an American Meteorologist working with WUSA-TV where she serves the station as a Meteorologist since joining the station in January 2022. She is a proud graduate of the University of Northern Colorado where he obtained a degree in Meteorology.

Makayla Lucero Career

Lucero works with WUSA-TV in Washington where she serves the station as a Meteorologist. Later on, she moved out of East Texas where she reported on everything from extreme heat to tornado outbreaks.  After moving from Texas, she kept heading East and made a stop in Jacksonville, Florida.

While there, their hurricane season brought multiple named storms to direct over her area. Despite Makayla living all over the calls Denver, Colorado, is her home. When she was visiting, she loves spending time with her parents. Additionally, she also enjoys walking through her favorite mountain town, Estes Park.

Away from work, she may be found running, reading, and powerlifting. Asides from this, she is also a big fan of breakfast foods and is on the hunt for a new favorite breakfast spot. She requests that is one has any book, trail or breakfast spot recommendations to just let her know. Asides from this, she is also excited to serve the Washington community and can’t wait for the adventures to come.
