Robert Bradfield is an American Reporter/Multi-skilled Journalist working with First Coast News/WJXX-TV where he serves the station as a Multi-skilled Journalist. He has been working with the station since the year 2019 when he joined the station as a Reporter.

Robert Bradfield Career

Bradfield works with First Coast News where he serves the station as a Multi-skilled Journalist. He joined the station in 2019 as a reporter when he was trading the bourbon for the beaches. This was after spending nine years reporting and anchoring at WHAS11 in Kentucky.

Prior to this, he spent about six years in western Kentucky where he was reporting and anchoring at WPSD. During his time there, he covered several deadly tornadoes and the historic floods of 2011. Asides from this, his work also helped him in earning the station a regional Edward R. Murrow Award. The year 2010 saw him spend a year as a reporter/anchor at WCJB in Gainesville, Florida.

The Florida native is a proud native of the University of Florida during the Tim Tebow era. He is active in the journalism department, anchoring radio and television newscasts during his senior year. Asides from this he was also the inaugural bureau chief for ABC News on Campus. This is a student-run news bureau that worked with ABC News to report on a wide range of stories. At that time, he was covering the 2008 election and the Gator’s trip to the BCS game in Miami.

Bradfield is proud to have been recognized for his investigative and enterprise stories. This was in addition to being named Best Television Reporter twice by the Kentucky Associated Press. Asides from this, he was nominated for a regional Emmy in 2014. One may also recognize Robert as the viral anchor who could not keep it together while reporting on Chris P. Bacon, who is a celebrity pig born without his hind legs.

He was also raised on Central Florida’s Space Coast where he was watching every shuttle launch from his driveway and made quick weekend trips to the beach and Disney World. Asides from this, he is also an avid Gators and Jaguars fan. Away from work, he enjoys cheering on his favorite teams and exploring more of the First Coast.
