Mindy Wadley is an American Producer working with First Coast News where she serves the station as a Digital Content Producer. She joined the First Coast Team in February 2020 after producing newscasts for about seven years.

While pursuing her bachelor’s degree in journalism at Augusta University, Mindy began her career as a show producer for WAGT NBC 26, one of the stations she grew up watching. Mindy moved to Charleston, South Carolina, after graduation, to produce the 7 p.m. news at WCIV ABC News 4.

The Augusta, Georgia Native kick-started her career working as a show producer for WAGT NBC 26. This is one of the stations she grew up watching as a kid. She worked for the station while working toward her bachelor’s degree in journalism at Augusta University.
Later on, after her graduation, she moved to Charleston, South Carolina where she produced 7 PM News at WCIV ABC News 4. During her time there, she helped to cover several major national stories which include the shooting death of Walter Scott by then-North Charleston Police officer Michael Slager. This is in addition to helping in the coverage of the Charleston church shooting.
The year 2015 saw her move back home to Augusta where she was producing award-winning newscasts at WRDW News 12. This was after an acquisition, again for WAGT NBC 26. She has called Jacksonville home since the year 2017. She joined the First Coast News and worked for a couple of weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Then, she spent the next 15+ months working from home.
This was while crafting stories that shine a light on the resilience of the First Coast in the midst of a global pandemic. Away from work, she enjoys spending her time exploring the local food and beverage scene(especially craft breweries), going to Universal and Walt Disney World as often as possible, and attending sporting events.
