Makenzie O’Keefe is an American Anchor/Reporter working for CBS4 News/KCNC-TV in Denver, Colorado where she serves the station as a News Anchor/Reporter. She joined the station working as a News reporter in September 2017 before moving to News Anchor and Reporter in August 2020.

Makenzie first joined CBS News Colorado in the month of September 2017 working as a multi-media journalist. During this morning position, she worked hard on and off-camera as she was writing, shooting, and editing all her own work. The year 2019 saw her move to a daytime shift working as a one-woman band for CBS News Colorado’s evening newscasts.
She states that her favorite part of her job is having the opportunity to meet new people every day and share their stories. Prior to CBS4 News Colorado, she was working as a reporter and weekend anchor for joint television stations KKCO and KJTC in Grand Junction. While they were on the Western Slope, she covered a variety of stories which include President Donald Trump’s campaign visit.
There, she also covered a national high-profile murder trial and the shooting death of a local sheriff’s deputy. Through her storytelling on the tragedy, she got a Feature of the Year Award in 2016 from the Colorado Broadcaster’s Association. Asides from this, she was also named Reporter of the Year in the year 2015 by the Mesa Community Officer Association.
She states that the reason she is a journalist is that she loves getting to meet wonderful people every day and learn about their lives. Makenzie states that everyone has a story of their own and it is an honor to share how things happening in the community impact their lives. She states that her role model has always been her parents and wouldn’t be who she is to date if it were not for them.

He also loves trying different restaurants.
On the other hand, her favorite sports team is CSU Rams, Colorado Rockies, and Denver Broncos. She states that she is a book warmer and loves all authors. She, however, states that her favorite is Gillian Flynn. Her favorite vacation spot happens to be Steamboat Springs. She states that the word that best describes CBS News Colorado is genuine and states that her least favorite household chore is folding laundry. Makenzie states that her favorite word is happy while her least favorite word is can’t.
Her favorite noise happens to be hearing people genuinely laugh or rain falling. This two make her very happy. On the other hand, her least favorite noise is her alarm clock. She states that she hates snoozing too many times. O’Keefe states that she lately listens to country music which is her all-time favorite. She states that her family, the endless outdoor activities, and the beautiful views are what keep her in Colorado.
