Megan Salois Biography
Megan Salois is an American meteorologist working for Channel 13 News as a noon and weekend meteorologist. She joined the Channel 13 First Alert Storm Team in April 2006, after previously working at WQOW.

In 1998, Salois joined The University of Georgia where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism in 2002. Later in 2003, she joined Mississippi State University where she studied broadcast meteorology and graduated in 2005.

Salois works at Channel 13 News as a weekday and weekend meteorologist. She was honored with the AMS Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society and she is a member of the National Weather Association. Prior to joining Channel 13 News, she worked at WQOW-TV in Eau Claire, Wisconsin where she served as a reporter and weekend meteorologist. Over the years, Megan has covered all types of weather including severe thunderstorms and tornado outbreaks.
Her most memorable moments forecasting tornadoes include; the Parkersburg, Iowa tornado and the Ladysmith, Wisconsin tornado. She also covered the evening weathercasts when The Ladysmith tornado hit the small town just before 5 PM on Labor Day 2002. Later on, she did almost hundreds of news reports following the clean-up and recovery in the small Wisconsin town. In addition, she also forecasted on Today in Iowa Sunday the morning of May 25th, 2008 when a major tornado outbreak was possible that day and on that evening, the EF5 tornado ripped through Parkersburg
She is known for standing in ice storms and blizzards just to make sure that her viewers are aware of the conditions outside and can make plans accordingly. During her free time, she enjoys spending time outside on the trails, and at the parks around the Metro, trying new recipes, and spending ample time with her husband and sons.
