Millaine Wells is an American journalist who serves as a Host of Local 5 LIVE, Host of Midwest Farm Weekly at WFRV since December 27, 2005. Wells was a child who was enamored with television. “When other kids wanted cartoons, I’d turn on the local news,” she adds.

This Appleton native went to the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point for college. Millaine has a Communications degree with a Political Science minor. She started as a summer intern at Local 5 before being hired as a producer in 2005. Millaine worked the midnight shift for the first few years, arriving at 10:30 p.m. to write and arrange our morning news. She made the switch to full-time reporting to pursue her passion for creating stories about individuals in her community.
Millaine donates her time to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Kewaunee County Dairy Promotion, and the American Cancer Association, as well as emceeing a variety of fundraisers throughout the year. Millaine co-hosts Local 5 LIVE, which airs daily from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. She also hosts Midwest Farm Weekly, which airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 5:30 a.m.
