TJ Eck Biography

TJ Eck is an American sports director working at WHSV where he serves as a sports director since February 2018. He joined the WHSV team in August 2013, as a sports anchor and reporter. 

TJ Eck Education

In 2004, Eck joined Lancaster Catholic High School where he graduated with a diploma 2008. Later on, he joined Juniata College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in general communication in 2012. In addition, he has also studied at Syracuse University where he studied in its S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication and earned a master of science in broadcast journalism in 2013.

TJ Eck Career

Eck works at WHSV where he serves as a sports director. He spent the first five years of his television career in Nebraska and prior to joining the WHSV team, he worked at KOLN in Lincoln, Nebraska where he served as a weekend sports anchor for two years. While he worked at KOLN, he primarily covered; high school sports, Big Ten athletics,  the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and the College World Series. In addition, he began his career in Western Nebraska where he worked for KNPL in North Platte, Nebraska as a news and sports reporter.

Later on, he joined the KNOP team where he served as a sports director. Columbia, Pennsylvania is his native home and during his sparer time, he enjoys spending ample time with his fiancée Andrea, watching movies, golfing, hiking, and watching his favorite sports teams which as the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Cubs.
