Robyn Curnow is a South African news anchor and correspondent who is best known for her time working at CNN. She joined CNN in July 2002 and left in October 2022. On 3rd May 2022, she announced her plans to leave the network

During her tenure at CNN, she served as the anchor of the 6 pm and 7 am on Friday. Prior to this role, she previously served as a correspondent in Africa, based in Johannesburg, where she reported on several stories including the football World Cup, the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and political scandals involving South African President Jacob Zuma.

In addition to that, she went to Zimbabwe and did extensive coverage of the South African Broadcasting Corporation in the Mandela era. During her time in South Africa, she also enclosed about Nelson Mandela’s ill health, and death and reported live from his funeral. In addition to that, she also interviewed Nelson Mandela during and after his presidency and the last interview on the 90th birthday he gave was with Curnow.

Curnow also managed to enclose Oscar Pistorius after and before he was convicted of murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. In addition to that, she also covered the coalition forces’ launch of the Mosul offensive in Iraq in October 2016. She also anchored the network’s coverage of the fall of Zimbabwe’s longtime leader Robert Mugabe as well as anchored hours of rolling news with correspondents in Harare.

Curnow went to Havana and enclosed several top-notch events including the death of Fidel Castro and U.S. President Barack Obama’s historic trip to Cuba in 2016. She also interviewed former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura during their visit to Zambia on a charity trip after his presidency.
