Ryan Snoddon Biography
Ryan Snoddon is a Canadian Meteorologist and host working for CBC News in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He joined the station in June 2008.

After graduating from high school and earning his High School Diploma, he had to further his education. He joined Loyalist College where after completing his studies there he majored in broadcast journalism. From there, he attended Mississippi State University. In 2011, he graduated with his degree in Broadcast/Operational Meteorology and also achieved an Academic Excellence Award.

Snoddon is a meteorologist covering the weather for CBC’s Atlantic Tonight and Nova Scotia and New Brunswick programs. He forecasts each weeknight at 11:30 p.m. and 11 o’clock in most of Labrador. In addition, he is seen on the Atlantic Tonight newscast late-night and on CBC Radio One program in the region.
His love and passion for weather began at a very young age. Before his college graduation, he landed his first job in Belleville, Ontario. While there, he was reading and writing weekend newscasts at Quinte Broadcasting. After his graduation, he joined Wolf 101.5 in Peterborough, Ontario. During his time there, he worked as a morning radio show co-host. From there, he headed to Peterborough in 2006 and began working for CHEX-TV as a Weather Specialist.
After working in Peterborough for two years, he left in June 2008 to join the CBC Newfoundland and Labrador. It is one of the stormiest and most beautiful places on earth. While there, he spent 10 years before moving back to Halifax to become a meteorologist in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. The Oceanographic Society and the Canadian Meteorological endorsed him. Furthermore, the National Weather Association awarded him with the seal of approval for Broadcast Meteorology.
