Sammi Jo Francis is an American multimedia journalist and sports anchor who is best known for her time at FOX 26 where she served as a sports anchor. She joined the FOX 26 team in August 2019 and in August 2021, she left the station. She serves as the host of QC Sports on Queen City Podcast Network.

In 2005, she joined the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she graduated in 009, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Mass Media. Later in 2010, she took up broadcast journalism classes at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting where she graduated in 2011. She started her career at the SPEED Channel where she was an intern and later on, she traveled with the American Le Mans Series while she pursued her passion for motorsports.
While she traveled with the American Le Mans Series, she produced, reported, and got her first taste of live reporting at the 12 Hours of Sebring. In addition, before she secured a part-time job in Charlotte as a sports reporter, she interned at a radio station and while she worked in Charlotte, she made friends with all of her hometown’s sports teams. She later relocated to the West Coast in January as a result of the abundance of sports teams in the state.
