Scott Schaffer is an American journalist working for WNEP as the co-anchor of Newswatch. Schaffer joined the station back in May 1999.

Schaffer co-anchors Newswatch 16 at 6:00, 7:00, 10:00, and 11:00 pm. He joined the station and started serving as an anchor as well as a reporter. He had also worked for other stations prior to joining WNEP-TV. For instance, he previously worked for WJRT-TV in Flint, Michigan where he served as morning anchor for quite some time. His journalism career began when he was hired by Service Electric Cable TV in Allentown as well as an anchor/reporter at WHTM in Harrisburg, prior to heading to Michigan in 1996.

Schaffer has also anchored the weekend newscasts, as well as the 5:00 and 5:30 pm newscasts ever since he joined forces with WNEP.
