Shannon Sohn is an American Emmy award-winning reporter working at WABC-TV where she serves as an evening helicopter reporter for the 5 pm and 6 pm newscasts. She joined the WABC-TV team in 2001.

In addition, she has been featured in The New Yorker magazine. Prior to joining NewsCopter 7, she worked at WCTC News Radio in New Brunswick where she was an AP-award-winning reporter/anchor. She also covered traffic from an airplane for Z100, WPLJ, WCTC, and WABC.  Sohn attended Rutgers University where she graduated with a  double majored in Journalism and Communications in addition to also graduating from Mississippi State University with a degree in broadcast meteorology. During her green time, she enjoys riding the horse she trained, in the saddle, and spending ample time with her family.
