Tricia Sloma is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working at WNDU where she serves as the co-anchor of 16 Morning News Now. She has been working at WNDU since October 1993.
Sloma was named by the Indiana Society of Professional Journalists as the 2020 Journalist of the Year for, Never Again: Preventing Bus Stop Tragedies. She won a National Association of Broadcasters Service to America Award and an Edward R. Murrow Award for her “Never Again” reports. In addition, the WNDU was presented by The Indiana Broadcasters Association with the Spectrum Award and the Cardinal Community Service Award. In 2016, the series was nominated for an Emmy Award.
Sloma was able to secure a slot at WNDU in 1993, and she started off as a reporter. Not long after, she began serving as the morning show anchor a position she holds to date. While serving as an anchor, she has received six Emmy nominations and won an Emmy in 2018 for current affairs programming an in-depth report on child abuse.
