Ben Goldman Biography
Ben Goldman is an American news anchor who is working at FOX 61. He serves on the weekday evening at 4 pm and 10 pm.
He began his career as a journalist at the age of 16 at FOX61 where she served as a freelance reporter and reported on Connecticut Charities twice each week as the host of Ben Goldman’s Charity Corner. Goldman has strong ties to non-profits all throughout the state as he is a brain cancer survivor.
He reported on weekends in Springfield, Mass. for Western Mass News after his time at FOX61. In addition, he did intern in a number of stations including NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt and PIX11 in New York City. Furthermore, while he was at Nightly News, he was also involved in the special 2016 Election Night coverage.
He covered a number of stories while he was at FOX 61 including; the 48-hour opioid crisis on the New Haven green in which he pressed New Haven’s mayor about her response, he interviewed the President & CEO of the Boston Red Sox while he was living for Games 1 and 2 of the World Series in Boston, a collection of exclusive stories with tenants in Hartford’s North End fighting against their landlord due to poor living conditions in the Clay Arsenal Apartments, live during the FOX61 News at 4 and owner of the team.
For his work for other children and families battling pediatric cancer, he was awarded the Honorary Co-Chairman of the 2015 Travelers Championship. Wethersfield, Connecticut is his native home, and attended Wethersfield High School where he graduated, and later joined The University of Connecticut where he studied Communications and Political Science.
