Charles Benson is an American anchor and reporter working at TMJ4 where he serves as a weekday news anchor and chief political reporter.
In Southeast Wisconsin, he is among the most trusted, reliable, and experienced reporters. In 2013, he was inducted into the prestigious Milwaukee Silver Circle which was presented to him by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
During presidential election years, he can be found chasing candidates around Wisconsin and ensuring they keep their campaign promises. Benson preferred subjects are folks from Milwaukee and other parts of the state. His father worked in sales as a kid, so we moved around a lot. He was always meeting new people and forming new relationships with people he didn’t know. It’s something he still does on a daily basis.
You can always find him training for anything these days. During his leisure time, he enjoys bicycling, jogging, swimming, and taking part in a couple of triathlons each year. In 2013, he finished the Wisconsin Ironman competition being his first time, but he hopes it won’t be his last. He also firmly believes in giving back to the church and the community through volunteerism.
