Julia Fello Biography
Julia Fello is an American anchor working for TMJ4 Today the weekend morning anchor from 5 am to 7 am. She joined the station in October 2014.
Julia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Elmhurst College in Illinois and went on to DePaul University’s Journalism Master’s program in Chicago. During the week, she works as an Enterprise Reporter on unique and exceptional projects. In October of 2014, she began working at the station as a reporter. She came to TMJ4 from WWMT-TV in West Michigan, where she worked as a reporter for the Battle Creek Bureau.
Julia is no stranger to Wisconsin! Beginning in 2008 at WSAW-TV in Wausau, she reported for more than four years in Wisconsin. She worked as a reporter and hosted the Sunday morning show there. Fello came down to Madison, Wisconsin, to work for WKOW-TV two years later. She worked as a reporter and anchor for the weekend morning show.
She covered the contentious Budget Repair Bill during that time. Fello covered numerous recall campaigns, including state legislators and Governor Scott Walker, as well as union protests at the Capitol. Her first job in the press was as a runner for CNN at the Republican National Convention in New York City in 2004.
She was inspired to pursue a career in broadcast journalism as a result of her encounter. Julia worked as a production assistant for WMAQ and subsequently as a production assistant, field producer, and live online talent for WFLD throughout college. She is proud to call southeast Wisconsin home and is dedicated to covering news that touches our community.
