Justin Matthews is an American multi-media journalist who is working at FOX 13. He joined the FOX 13 news team in April 2020, serving as an anchor and reporter.
Previously, he resided in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he worked at ABC-affiliate KOAT and while he was in the station he served as a general assignment reporter and fill-in weather and traffic anchor. He had also worked at CBS affiliate KTVL in Medford, Oregon where he served as a multi-media journalist.
Matthews attended the University of Arizona and this was also where his passion for journalism began. He is deeply interested in covering natural disasters and weather. In addition, he has covered wildfires in New Mexico and Oregon and as of the moment he is putting good use of the skills he acquired to cover Tampa Bay’s threatening weather. During his leisure time, he enjoys hiking, being outdoors appreciating nature, listening to music, craft beer, and he is a self-proclaimed airplane geek. Southern California is his native home.
