Matthew McClellan is an American anchor and reporter who is working at FOX 13. He serves as a weekend morning anchor and live reporter for Good Day Tampa Bay during the week.
Previously, he resided in Indianapolis where he worked at WRTV-TV serving as a weekend evening anchor while also reporting from the field during weekdays before relocating in 2019, to Tampa. He has also served as a reporter and fill-in anchor, developing high-impact reports for broadcast and online while he worked at WRIC-TV in Richmond, Virginia. In addition, he has reported the widespread destruction of Hurricane Matthew and extensively covered the 2016 presidential election, inclusive of the selection of former Richmond mayor Tim Kaine as the vice presidential nominee.
In addition to working at WRIC, he also worked at WTVY-TV in Dothan, Alabama where he served as an evening anchor. Prior to his winning a Florida Press Award in 2014 for his reports of the dozens of boys who died at Florida Dozier reform school. Furthermore, he attended the Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina where he earned a Bachelor of Science in broadcasting. During his downtime, he enjoys cooking, live music, and running.
