Rachel Frank Biography

Rachel Frank is an American Emmy award-winning meteorologist who is working at FOX 61. She serves as the chief meteorologist and can be seen at 4, 5, 10, and 11 on FOX 61. In addition, she joined the FOX 61 news team in 2008, and in 2019, was when she was promoted to serve as the Chief Meteorologist. 

She attended Pennsylvania State University where she graduated proudly with a meteorology degree and a focus on forecasting. Previously, she worked in Allentown and Erie, Pennsylvania. In addition, she is a National Weather Association and American Meteorological Society member.

Her interest in weather began while she was in middle school after completing a science project about clouds. She is amazed by the weather in Connecticut is one of the only regions in the country that gets almost every type of severe weather. Apart from it being her job to forecast weather, it is also her passion.

For seven years, she has worked in Connecticut and during this time, she has covered many historic events, such as Superstorm Irene and Sandy. However, her favorite storm was the blizzard of February 8-9, 2013. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, eating out, traveling, snowboarding, scuba diving, biking, and hiking.
