Kelly Ann Cicalese is an American journalist who serves as NewsCenter 5’s Weekend EyeOpener meteorologist at WCVB in Boston, Massachusetts.
Cicalese has worked in several markets which include the Huntington-Charleston market in West Virginia, Cheyenne in Wyoming, and the Boston area.

Cicalese attended Rutgers University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. She was part of the university’s television program and a member of the Rutgers Meteorology Club. Kelly Ann also holds a degree in mathematics.

Cicalese began her career at KGWN in Cheyenne, Wyoming as part of the weather team. During her time there, she was awarded “Best Weather Broadcaster” by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters. Kelly Ann greatly gained experience forecasting severe weather. She made coverage of tornadoes and frequent blizzards. During the September 2013 flooding disaster in Colorado, she was involved in the clock updates.
Kelly Ann later moved to WSAZ-TV, the lead television station for the Huntington-Charleston market in West Virginia. There, she served as the weekday evening Meteorologist. Cicalese made forecasts and reports on the January 2016 blizzard that brought over three feet of snow to the Appalachian Mountains. She also made coverage of the June 2016 West Virginia flooding disaster.
Kelly Ann speaks at various social clubs and conducts kid-friendly weather experiments in local schools. Growing up with a passion for Irish Dancing, Cicalese trained at a young age. From an early age, she has performed in venues such as P-N-C Bank Arts Center, Carnegie Hall, and a small Broadway stage.
